MANAMA: Export Bahrain, a national development initiative, and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bahrain (FCCIB) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to foster opportunities for Bahraini small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to export their products and services to the French market.

Export Bahrain and FCCIB will work to support businesses from various sectors to explore possibilities in the French market and provide them with solutions to identify French potential partners and buyers.

Export Bahrain chief executive Dr Nasser Ali Qaedi said: “Our efforts are geared towards developing partnerships and solutions that will provide Bahrain’s exporting businesses with every possible benefit and business links in all markets.”

“This agreement is an opportunity to allow more exporters to discover new markets and our mission in our organisation is to facilitate their export journey across a variety of sectors, this collaboration will add great value to exporters to access the French market,” he said.

Jean Christophe Durand, president of FCCIB, said: “Seeing the similarities between the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bahrain and Export Bahrain’s core mission, which consists in assisting and guiding SME’s in their project of developing their business and activities abroad, it is no doubt that these values would bring us closer giving birth to this milestone partnership.”

Both parties will kick-start collaboration and work closely to accompany Bahraini companies in their efforts to export their products and services to the French market and beyond.

The team of FCCIB, headed by executive director Rim Jalali, will be offering a range of services to Export Bahrain customers, which are the most suitable for their projects, to facilitate the development of their business and make them reach their goals as fast and easy as possible.

The FCCIB will also make these companies benefit from the contacts and introductions it has, through the big network to which it belongs (120 local chambers of commerce in all the regions of France), and the institutional and private partners it has in France.
