Etihad Airways introduced on Thursday its flagship Airbus A380 aircraft on its second daily service between Abu Dhabi and New York’s JFK airport. All 14 weekly flights between the two cities are now operated by the double-decker aircraft.
The aircraft replaces the three-class Boeing 777-300ER previously operating one of Etihad’s twice-daily flights. The A380 deployment puts New York with two other cities with an all-A380 operation; London and Sydney.
The aircraft includes Economy seats, Business studios, First Apartments, and Etihad’s The Residence.
