ABU DHABI- Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC), received Professor Rafiq Muhammadshin, President of the Russian Islamic University in Kazan, and his delegation, at the TWMCC’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways of boosting their cooperation in promoting Islamic values and cultural pluralism and the values of tolerance, dialogue and moderation.
They also discussed their cooperation in areas of mutual concern, in line with moderate Islamic values and in accordance with the sentiments of national belonging of Muslim communities, to promote the positive role of Muslims worldwide.
Dr. Al Nuaimi lauded Russia’s overall development, noting the Russian Federation celebrated the 1,100th anniversary of the official adoption of Islam by the Bulgar people in the Volga Basin.
The Russian Islamic University is one of the most reputable Islamic universities in Russia, which has prepared qualified generations capable of leading Muslim communities in the country, he added.
