A co-operation agreement was signed, on Thursday morning, between Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Salma Elloumi Rekik and Palestinian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Rula Ma'ayah to promote partnership in the tourist sector between Tunisia and Palestine.
This agreement provides for energising the tourist flow between the two destinations, exchange of experts and information on training programmes in tourism, hotel management and organisation of training sessions for the benefit of Tunisian and Palestinian executives, underlined Rekik.
It also provides to exchange expertise in the field of marketing and communication and develop programmes to promote the two destinations worldwide.
It was also agreed to boost partnership in the fields of tourist investment and encourage partnership between the private sector and professional organisations of the two countries.
Rula Ma'ayah said that Palestine has important tourist sites which deserve to be visited by Tunisians, indicating that during the last five years, Palestine registered annually over 2 million Russian, Italian tourists and several nationalities.
