Long-haul operator Emirates Airline has announced that it is investing more than $350 million to boost entertainment experience of its passengers.
The new entertainment systems will be installed in Emirates' incoming fleet of Airbus A350 passenger aircraft, scheduled for delivery in 2024, the airline said in a statement on Thursday.
As part of the mega investment, a total of 50 A350 aircraft will be equipped with next-generation Thales inflight entertainment solutions that promise to offer "memorable cinematic and personalised passenger experience", the airline said.
The new technology from Thales features Optiq 4K QLED HDR displays.
Last month, the airline announced that it will start retrofitting 120 of its fleet in November this year. The multibillion-dollar project will include 67 A380s and 53 777s.
