Qatar - Data from Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar) showed that shipments of general and bulk cargo increased by 30 percent to 617,641 tons in the first quarter of this year, on an annual basis, compared to the same period last year.
The data that was issued on Tuesday by Mwani Qatar, revealed a growth in livestock units, cars, equipment, and ships at rates of 161 percent, 9 percent, and 1 percent, respectively, to reach 151,907 cattle, 18,380 units, and 664 ships in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.
In the same context, the data revealed the handling of 337,810 standard containers, while building and construction materials recorded a level of 134,637 tons.
