A total of the thirteen banks recorded $875.62 million of total capital import into Nigeria in the second quarter (Q2) 2021, while another thirteen lenders accounted for zero capital importation in the same period.
Access Bank, FBNQuest, Globus Bank, NOVA Merchant Bank, Unity Bank, Providus Bank and FSDH did not record any capital inflow. Others are: Fidelity Bank, Heritage Bank, Rand Merchant Bank, SunTrust Bank, Jaiz Bank and Polaris Bank.
On the other hand, Stanbic IBTC was the bank through which the highest share of Foreign Capital flowed into the country in the second quarter (Q2) 2021 with $310.01 million of total inflow.
It was followed by Standard Chartered Bank with $282.37 million, same rankings taken in 2018; CitiBank with $94.15 million.
At fourth position was Zenith Bank with $51.40 million, while Ecobank took the fifth position with $38.32 million capital importation, followed closely by Union bank with $29.59 million and Guaranty Trust Bank with $25.79 million.
Others are: First Bank of Nigeria ($14.69 million); FCMB ($12.72 million); UBA ($6 million); Coronation Merchant Bank ($5.79 million); Wema Bank ($4 million) and Sterling Bank ($0.60 million).
