The H Dubai, the five-star property on Sheikh Zayed Road, has appointed Sophie Blondel as the new general manager.
Hailing from France, Blondel will oversee the entire strategic operations of the 236-rooms property and will ensure profitability and return on owner investment. Aided by her well-honed leadership skills, she will lead the team in offering guests the finest hospitality experience.
Blondel brings almost two decades of expertise and skills to her role, earned from working in various hotel groups in Belgium and the UAE. She has a Law degree but realised that her true passion lies in guest interaction and service which made her move to the hospitality field. Her professional career started at Stanhope Hotel in Brussels where she started working as an intern in the Conference and Banqueting department and moved up to become the five-star property’s general manager in 2009. She had the same role at Sofitel Brussels Le Louise in 2015 and then at Radisson RED Brussels in 2017 before moving to Dubai.
Claudio Capaccioli, chief executive officer, H Hospitality Collection, stated: “We are delighted to have Sophie joining our team at The H Dubai. With the influx of visitors to Dubai as the city prepares for the Expo 2020 opening, we see Sophie apply her strong leadership skills to lead the property to attain new heights.”
On her appointment, Blondel said: “The H Dubai property is striking, and I am very excited to be part of the vibrant team and oversee the operations of this property which has a long-standing reputation for its friendly service, good F&B offerings and superb facilities. Along with my team, we will focus on providing a unique and personalised experience to all our guests and strengthen the hotel’s prominent position within the local and international markets.” - TradeArabia News Service
