Makkah: The Roads General Authority has unveiled the “Judeh” (quality) initiative for checking and assessing roads leading to the holy sites, using drones flying over difficult areas, including tunnels and bridges.

Drone technology assesses the condition of roads in terms of their cleanliness, signs and barriers, and all other safety factors. It also measures the groundwater level under the roads if it exists.
