Dubai’s SEED Group on Monday announced that it has signed an agreement with the world-first space sharing platform Spacenow.
The new deal aims at launching the first short-term business space rentals in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), according to the SEED Group’s statement to Mubasher.
The platform will allow property and site owners to list assets for rent by the hour, day, week, month or year and activate their underutilised space, SEED, a group of diversified companies owned and chaired by the Private Office of Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum, added.
“This will become the first multi-space, short-term rental platform in the region and we are very eager to start operation,” said Daniel Gunning, Spacenow’s CEO and founder.
Moreover, it will enable entrepreneurs and businesses to have an access to that space on a long- or short-term basis, from as little as just one hour, according to the statement.
“The UAE and indeed the whole region has a great range of spaces and locations just waiting to be activated,” Gunning added.
Signing the agreement comes along with the upcoming Dubai 2020 Expo, which is considered one of the world’s largest economic event.
“For the first time, a platform like Spacenow will give businesses travelling to the UAE the ability to rent office and desk space by the hour, day, week, or month. Spacenow’s business model is solid. It addresses a gap in the market and we are excited to see them expand,” Gunning commented.
