RIYADH, April 2 (Reuters) - Samba Financial Group , Saudi Arabia's third largest bank, told its customers late on Saturday that technical problems disrupting its banking services had been resolved.

Automated Teller Machine (ATM) services were disrupted on Thursday before they were later restored, while online banking was the last service to resume late on Saturday, according to earlier statements from the bank.

In an earlier statement to customers, Samba described the problem as "a technical issue" that had impacted the bank systems serving branches.

It said there was no impact on the bank's internal services, adding the bank was not targeted by a cyber-attack.

The kingdom's central bank earlier said on Twitter it was monitoring the issue and would take all necessary action against the bank after investigating the reasons for the problems.

Nobody was immediately available to comment from Samba on Sunday.
