Riyadh: Saudi Electricity for Project Development Co, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has announced that it started operating a plant at a value of SAR 590 million.

This plant will contribute to enhance the reliability and safety of electrical service of the company in various regions, according to a statement that was issued on Saturday.

This project is considered a part of SEC expansion plans in all regions in Saudi.

SEC last reported that it turned to losses amounted after suffering SAR 1.2 billion losses in the first three months of 2018, against posting SAR 4.9 billion profits during Q1-17.
