RIYADH — Saudi Air Navigation Services (SANS) has bagged the fifth place as it vied for Global Safety Achievement Award 2020 organized by Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO)
The award recognizes excellence in air traffic management (ATM) safety.
SANS is the only company from the Gulf and the Middle East region to be shortlisted for the award.
The achievement reflects the important position of the civil aviation sector in Saudi Arabia around the world, as well as its focus on air safety and the efficiency of the performance of air traffic controllers, and consolidates the position of the Saudi company as one of the leaders in the aviation industry regionally and internationally.
The CANSO has launched this global award for the companies with the aim of contributing to the reduction of aviation risks during the twelve months that precede its annual presentation.
Saudi Air Navigation focuses on everything related to safety, as it has implemented specialized programs aimed at strengthening the safety culture in all its operations and in its various facilities and departments, which is reflected in the high level of air navigation safety in the Kingdom.
The company seeks to move forward to achieve more successes and to continue its path of leadership in the field of air navigation services at all levels in light of the unlimited support that the civil aviation sector receives from the wise leadership.
It is noteworthy that the company obtained the ISO certification for health, safety and environmental management systems, maintenance engineering and aviation information systems.
It recently completed the project to supply and install navigational systems at NEOM Bay Airport within 77 days, and is currently implementing a number of navigation systems projects for a number of airports in the region.
The company plays a fundamental and important role in securing and safety of aircraft movement and is considered an essential element in the success of the air transport industry and provides air traffic services to all aircraft transiting the Kingdom's airspace.
