BAGHDAD, Jan 21 (Reuters) - Russia's Gazprom Neft, the oil arm of state gas producer Gazprom, said this week production at its Iraqi Badra oilfield reached 85,000 barrels per day (bpd).
Production was increased from 45,000 bpd after the commissioning of a new process train for the treatment and separation of hydrocarbons, according to a statement on the company's website.
Expanded infrastructure facilities planned for later this year are expected to bring the field's production to its full planned capacity of 115,000 bpd, the statement added. It said the drilling of four new wells was also expected to be completed this year.
Iraq, the second-largest OPEC producer which saw higher-than-expected production growth in 2015, is hoping to raise oil output further this year and sell record volumes of oil to customers from its southern terminal.
