UAE - DarGlobal, a leading real estate developer, has awarded the main works contract for its W Residences project in Dubai to China State Construction Engineering Corporation -Middle East (CSCEC ME).

DarGlobal, the international arm of leading Saudi developer Dar Al Arkan, is a company founded to create premium destination homes for a distinctive global clientele. It operates across multiple markets, including Spain, the United Kingdom, UAE, Oman, Qatar, and Bosina.

DarGlobal said with closing of the AED273 million ($74.3 million) deal with CSCEC ME, the main works will begin soon on W Residences, its third project in Dubai downtown area.

CSCEC ME is one of the world’s largest transnational multidisciplinary conglomerates in civil and industrial engineering and real estate development and one of the most renowned home builders.

The Residences - a standalone residential project under global lifestyle brand W Hotels - boasts views of Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain, and is minutes away from DXB airport, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and The Dubai Mall. It is due for completion in December 2025.

On the contract award, CEO Ziad El Chaar said: "We are committed to delivering all our projects on time, matching the promised specifications and amenities. W Residences is already sold-out and anticipated to mark the first standalone residences in the world under the iconic lifestyle W Hotels brand."

Some of DarGlobal’s most notable projects include Urban Oasis tower by Missoni and DaVinci tower by Pagani in Dubai, Les Vagues residences by Elie Saab in Doha, Sidra residences in Bosnia, and AIDA master development in Oman, which boasts a Trump Golf Club, hotel and residences, he added.
