The Iraqi army has intensified its bombardment on Fallujah city late on Sunday evening in preparation for a ground attack to regain control of the city controlled by insurgents of " Daash " since month ago.
The militants the organization of the Islamic State in Iraq and al-Sham and their supporters invaded in Fallujah city in Anbar province in the first of January .
The government of Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki attacks from time to time to give clan men a chance to expel militants.
But security officials said that a decision has been taken to enter Fallujah on Sunday.
A senior security official said in remarks quoted by Reuters news agency and briefed by " Shafaq News " that " orders has been issued to begin bombing the city with artillery and aircraft to discover the potential capacity of the militants inside Fallujah and try to find a gap for access to the city. "
"The forces and tribal fighters are stationed in their positions at a distance of only 15 minutes outside of Fallujah ."
A senior military official said that they had planted bombs in the main roads of the city , and the army will use alternative ways to enter.
" We finished all our preparations and wait for the final word , which must come from al-Maliki himself," he added.
Security officials said earlier on Sunday that al-Maliki has received phone calls from the ambassadors of several countries in the region, urging him not to storm the city
