Muscat: An Omani student from Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), has won first place in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia in her research paper about the study of the effect of adding polymer to low-salinity water to increase oil productivity from sedimentary rocks.
A statement issued online by the Oman News Agency (ONA), said: "Intisar bint Khalifa Al Busaidi, a doctoral student majoring in petroleum engineering at the College of Engineering at Sultan Qaboos University, achieved first place in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia in her research paper on the study of the effect of adding polymer to low-salinity water to increase oil productivity from sedimentary rocks on electrical properties between crude oil (water) and rock.
