JEDDAH, 1st June, 2017 (WAM) -- The Command of the Coalition for Supporting the Legitimacy in Yemen announced that on Wednesday morning, a tanker under the flag of the Marshall Islands, was attacked by a naval boat using three Rocket-Propelled Grenades, RPGs, off the Yemeni coast near Bab Al-Mandab between the islands of Yemeni Myon and Djiboutian Saba'.
The Saudi Press Agency quoted the Command as saying, in a statement, that not one of the tanker's workers was hurt, and the ship is currently on its way into the Red Sea, adding that a thorough follow-up of the incident is being conducted to discover the involved party. The Command of the Coalition for Supporting the Legitimacy in Yemen renewed its warning that the continuing practices of Al-Houthi militias of arms and ammunition smuggling activities into Yemeni territories affect the security of navigation in this vital part of the world.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2017.
