MANAMA: National Oil and Gas Authority (Noga) announced plans to raise the number of petrol stations across the kingdom to 80 in the coming three years.
There are 48 petrol stations in Bahrain at present, but there are plans to set up five or six stations next year, while it is expected to provide mobile fuel stations this year.
This came as Noga chief executive Nasser Soltan Al Suwaidi yesterday opened Al Sayah Petrol Station in Busaiteen.
It is part of the authority’s strategy aiming to increase the number of petrol stations in all governorates to improve petroleum services across the kingdom.
The station is set up in compliance with specifications that suit the requirements of the new generation of modern petrol stations network and covers an area of 5,800 sqm to serve Busaiteen and neighbouring areas.
