Over the course of four days, the activities of the largest gathering of youth projects and achievements continued for the first youth project in Kuwait “Injaz Hub”, which was launched by Kuwait Municipality on February 2, reports Al-Qabas daily. This project is considered one of the most powerful youth projects for promoting and supporting youth achievements and their small projects in all forms and categories. The first event “Injaz Market” was an introductory event for this huge project. Many activities and owners of different projects were invited to participate free of charge over a period of four days. The Director General of Kuwait Municipality Eng. Ahmad Al-Manfouhi affirmed that the Injaz Market aims at supporting small and medium- sized enterprises through a symbolic rental fee. In a press statement, he stressed that the success of this activity achieves the desired goal of the activity being a test for the owners of these projects in terms of the quality of their goods before they are marketed.
Heritage
Eng. Al-Manfouhi explained that the Injaz Market is a youth market located in Al-Rai area and has three halls with 150 kiosks to display handicrafts and heritage works. The municipality is currently evaluating this experiment. If it is successful, it will be implemented in all governorates, as it will be the largest outlet for supporting youth and providing the appropriate environment for the establishment of their activities. Meanwhile, the CEO of the Future Business Incubators Company and Head of the Injaz Market Abrar Faisal Al-Masoud revealed that the official opening of the Injaz Market will take place in March. She said, “I extend my heartfelt gratitude to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for providing opportunities to Kuwaiti youth to display their creativity and innovation and for the development of the country through their vision and belief in the hands of youth”.
Al-Masoud also extended her appreciation and gratitude to the Director- General of the municipality Eng. Ahmad Al-Manfouhi for providing such an opportunity as a business incubator to manage this huge project. She added, “Thanks also to Ms. Nadia Al-Shraideh for her constant assistance to those in charge of this project in the municipality”. She explained that they are currently in the experimental phase of the opening of “Injaz Hub”, which is a Kuwait Municipality project. They are the operating company and supervising the project as a business incubator and the one responsible for it. The project supports Kuwaiti youth through their various innovations in the economic sector, the sports sector, creativity and the industrial sector. Injaz Hub is nothing but a governmental agreement to support youth. It has been embodied on the ground through various cultural, artistic and recreational events and activities, with the aim of accomplishing many goals that guarantee young people a true environment of positive competition.
Experimental
This is the experimental opening, as some sections, such as playgrounds, restaurants, some sections of shops, some projects, the industrial section, the craft section, and spaces for children’s games etc. are currently being prepared. It will be completed shortly. Al-Masoud welcomed all Kuwaiti youth who own small Kuwaiti projects, who are creative, who have reached the world and with merit, stating that this place will contain their projects, creativity and innovations. She said she hoped it will achieve part of the aspirations and goals for this project. Al-Masoud stressed that this opening is only the beginning of the work of the project owners participating in Injaz Hub, reiterating that the official opening of the huge project will take place in the near future.
She revealed that the upcoming events will be more and bigger than what it was at the start, adding that there will be several elements to attract the audience, and will take the initiative to create the entertainment, artistic and cultural atmosphere in coordination with all segments of society, institutions, bodies and private and governmental companies. Al-Masoud said, “We are facing great challenges, especially after years of precautionary closure due to the health situation, in order to push forward all the achievements and projects that have suffered during the pandemic and to establish their bases in an appropriate and organized environment”. She expressed gratitude for the support that this project receives from the Council of Ministers, and the Kuwait Municipality . It is worth mentioning that the Injaz Hub project contains 114 shops, restaurants, kiosks, a playground, an exhibition area, and spaces for children’s games that serve all sectors.
