RABAT - The Moroccan government will soon announce an increase in its renewable energy target from 52% to 64.3% of the energy mix by 2030, Moroccan newspaper LeMatin reported on Monday.
A representative of Morocco's renewable energy agency (MASEN) was not immediately available to comment.
Under the revised plan, Morocco will be able to generate 52% of its energy from renewables by 2025, the paper said.
Installed capacity of renewable energy rose to 3934 MW, or 37% of Morocco’s energy mix last year, official figures showed.
