DOHA: The Ministry of Municipality and Environment and Japanese company Mitsui & Co have signed an agreement for cooperation in agriculture development.
The deal seeks transfer of agricultural technology and enhance agricultural research at centres based in Rawdat Al Faras and Al Ettariyyah. It was signed by Sheikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser Al Thani, Assistant Undersecretary for Agriculture and Fisheries; and Ken Yamamura, Deputy Director-General of the company, in the presence of Shingo Tsuda, Japanese Ambassador to Qatar; and Hamad Al Baridi, Director of International Cooperation; and Masoud Jarallah Al Marri, Director of Agricultural Research Department at the ministry.
