Riyadh – Mubasher: Jeddah Islamic Port has jumped from rank 42nd to the 37th among the Lloyd's List One Hundred Ports worldwide for 2021.

Jeddah’s port has registered 4.76 million twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) in shipments in 2020, an increase of 6.8% in volumes from 4.43 million of TEU in 2019, the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) announced on Monday.

Lloyd's list of the largest ports across the globe included three Saudi ports; King Abdullah Port which ranked the 84th, King Abdulaziz Port which came in the 93rd place, and Jeddah Islamic Port.

Saudi Arabia in general made progress to rank the 16th in total volume handling worldwide.
