New Delhi – Iran is ready to supply India with its energy needs, President Hassan Rouhani said on Saturday.
'Iran can meet India's energy needs within the framework of long-term strategic contracts', President Rouhani said during a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He called for Indian companies' help in fields of solar energy, technological cities, agriculture, water sweetening and energy.
During the meeting, the Indian prime minister said that the Indian companies are ready to develop investment in Iran in various fields, including oil and gas.
He referred to importance of Iran's Chabahar port in transit and called for holding a seminar with the presence of Russia, Eurasian countries and other regional states to discuss transit cooperation using this port capacity.
Iranian President is in New Delhi for an official visit. Some 15 MoU's were signed in the meeting between the two sides' officials on Saturday.
