Tehran – Director General of the International Transit and Transportation Office of Road Maintenance and Road Transportation Organization on Sunday announced signing of an agreement to remove transportation problems facing Iran and Georgia.
The deal was inked on the sidelines of the Seventh Meeting of Iran-Georgia International Goods and Passenger Road Transportation on Sunday.
Mohammad-Javad Atrchian further noted that during the meeting they exchanged views on road transportation of goods and passenger, cooperation in transit and regional corridors and lack of efficient insurance coverage for the Iranian transit lorries in Georgia.
Among the best achievements of the meeting was remarkable increase in exchange of traffic license exempted from duties, half of which will be made available to Iran within a month.
The two sides also underlined facilitation of Iranian buses’ traffic and providing them with facilities and holding expert meeting for finalizing document on launching Persian Gulf-Black Sea Corridor.
