Muscat:  In an effort to have an interface between the youth and the business leaders, the AIESEC, an international student-run organisation, will host the fifth edition of 'Youth to Business Forum' at Bait Al Zubair on March 1 from 9am to 6pm.

The event is expected to be attended more than 200 young people and corporate representatives. It will revolve around the theme, 'Leadership, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship: Youth Building Oman 2040.'
Announcing this at a press conference held at Bait Al Zubair here yesterday, Stefany Araya, AIESEC Oman's vice-president, business development and conference manager of the event, said, "Youth to Business Forum is an event hosted by the AIESEC which brings top youth together with businesses and thought leaders from around the world for a day-long conversation around pressing global issues with the goal to generate new, but most importantly, actionable ideas to shape a better future."

The agenda will feature an analysis of the current 2020 vision; workshops on 'Innovation', 'Entrepreneurship', and 'Leadership',  panel discussions on the development of Oman 2040; and space for exploration of the role of Generation Y in the success of Oman 2040.

"Participants will come out of the conference empowered with skills and knowledge to take ownership of achieving Oman's 2040 vision. It will also give companies a stronger understanding about how to support youth development," said Stefany Araya.

Workshops, speeches, and panel discussions will be led by well-known leaders and entrepreneurs in the Omani community, including Sharifa Al Barami, executive partner of Al Jazeera Global Services
Investments and founder of BizHub Entrepreneurs Co-working space; Freezing Omani and corporate communications executive at Enhance, Bader Al Lawati; Tariq Al Barwani, founder and president of
Knowledge Oman; and Soud Al Banawi of Aramex.

Youth to Business 2014 aims to equip participants with the right understanding, knowledge, and skills to become active members in achieving Oman's 2020 and 2040 Visions, a sentiment shared by the event's venue sponsor, Bait Al Zubair. "In line with Bait Al Zubair's initiatives to support the Omani youth and hone their talents through events such as these that spark creativity and artistic endeavours and promote the values that enable young people to explore and develop their leadership potential, Bait Al Zubair is proud to host and be a part of the AIESEC," said Abdullah Al Zubair of Bait Al Zubair Museum.
