Ebrahim K Kanoo (EK Kanoo) has officially launched a Michelin Truck Service Centre (MTSC) in Salmabad, Bahrain.

The new, full-service facility was created in partnership with Michelin to enhance the operational efficiency of the growing medium and heavy truck industry in the Kingdom.

Spread over 17,000 sq ft, the state-of-the-art facility was inaugurated in the presence of Ebrahim K Kanoo and Michelin senior management team. The centre contains a large tyres warehouse, spanning over 75,000 sq ft, with a capacity to stock 100,000 tyres in recommended storage conditions.

Stefan Moench, chief operations officer at Ebrahim K Kanoo, said: “At Ebrahim K Kanoo, we continually explore new ways to offer our customers the best services for all their automotive needs. MTSC demonstrates how we work closely with our partner brands to deliver on our promise of customer satisfaction and serve the needs of a growing industry.

“Bahrain’s medium and heavy truck owners now have a world-class one-stop shop that will provide them with hassle-free services at a convenient location in the heart of Salmabad.”

The Michelin Truck Service Centre boasts seven dedicated servicing bays, which cater to tyre change, wheel balancing, alignment, oil change, greasing in addition to repair work for truck and earthmover tyres. The centre has specialised solid tyre pressing and foam filling facilities, which considerably reduce vehicle down time and help businesses to reduce wastage of slightly damaged tyres.

Naser Shashaa, regional director, Michelin Middle East said: “We are constantly looking at expanding our presence in the markets we operate in, and facilitate access to Michelin tyres, one of the world’s most renowned brands.

“Ebrahim K Kanoo is our long-standing partner in the country and we are delighted to be inaugurating this brand new MTSC with them. Our customers in the kingdom will now have convenient access to our products and certified services closer to them. We are confident that this new facility will set a benchmark for future facilities in the region.” – TradeArabia News Service
