Cairo – Al Delta Steel Company, a public business sector firm, has signed a contract with Gemco Cast Metal Technology, a Dutch company, to establish a cast iron and steel foundry with an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons.
The project has an investment cost of more than EGP 300 million and aims at raising Al Delta’s production capacity from around 1,000 tons per year to 10,000 tons per year.
Gemco was chosen for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract through a tender last October.
