RIYADH: Egypt confirmed further advancements to its coal and diesel complex project in Suez, to enhance oil refineries and improve their capacity of efficiency and production.

The project, which will require $1.77 billion of funding will be executed within the framework of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources' strategy according to a report by the ministry on Oct. 31.

“The project aims to enlarge the capacity of high-value petroleum production with International standard, particularly the butane and diesel.” Egypt’s minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resource, Tarek El-Molla, said.

ENPPI and Petrojet of Egypt were named as implementing the coaling and diesel complex, while other national companies will be sought to implement other aspects of the project.
