Cairo – The Egyptian Ministry of Planning and Economic Development announced the completion of 127 projects in New Valley Governorate with total investments of EGP 3.3 billion in fiscal years 2018/2019 and 2019/2020, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Tuesday.
The projects are implemented in seven sectors: education, health, housing, electricity, irrigation, transportation, and local development, the Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Hala El-Saeed, said.
A total of 10 water resources and irrigation projects were implemented at a cost of EGP 128.2 million, including the drilling of eight wells and the operation of 26 underground water wells on solar energy.
Moreover, three health units were established at a cost of EGP 4.1 million, 14 education projects at a cost of EGP 111 million, and seven water and sanitation projects at a cost of EGP 103 million.
Additionally, two projects in the electricity sector were implemented at a cost of EGP 883 million to improve electricity services provided to citizens.
