Ebrahim K. Kanoo launches new Toyota GR Supra 2021 in Bahrain

 

The first Toyota global model developed entirely by GAZOO Racing (GR), the GR Supra 2021 now comes in two different turbocharged powertrains; a 3.0 litre twin-scroll single-turbo, inline 6-cylinder engine which boasts 382 hp, an increase of 47HP from the 2020 model and an all-new 2.0 litre twin-scroll single-turbo, 4-cylinder engine which produces 255 hp.

 

This year’s line-up also includes a Special Limited Edition 3.0 litre model sporting an exclusive “Horizon Blue” exterior, complemented by sophisticated “Blue Alcantara” trimmed sports seats.

 

Inspired by GR Supra’s racing heritage, the combination of a twin-scroll turbocharger, direct fuel injection and continuously variable timing on both the intake and exhaust camshafts ensures maximum power from low speeds.

 

Engine response is enhanced thanks to the steady inline variable intake-valve lift system, which adjusts intake valve timing and duration for optimal performance, and the 8-speed automatic transmission that delivers speedy up and downshifts.

 

As with all Toyota vehicles, safety is paramount. High-tensile and ultra-high-tensile strength steel ensure a lightweight yet highly rigid body that effectively absorbs impact energy. A four-point pop-up hood system is available as well to protect pedestrians in the event of a collision. The 2021 GR Supra’s advanced safety system is further augmented by a cutting-edge safety technology package, which includes Pre-Collision system, Lane Departure Alert (LDA), and Adaptive High Beam System (AHS).

 

In addition, the cars feature a comprehensive array of safety and convenience features, such as seven SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Tyre Pressure Monitor System (TPMS). -- Tradearabia News Service
