Eastern Company announced its cooperation with international company SAP, to implement the ‘ERP’ management programming system, which is the largest digital transformation project in Egypt.
The project aims to organise the resources and processes resulting from daily business and linking departments to each other through a single system to raise the efficiency and performance of work within the system, as well as link all the company’s transactions, in line with the state’s plans to foster digital transformation.
The ERP is a comprehensive system for managing day-to-day activities, such as supply chain, manufacturing, services, finance, accounting, procurement, project management, CRM, planning, budgeting, risk management, and many other activities of a company that can accurately predict and report on the financial health and special operations.
It is also one of the programmes that international companies rely on to develop the administrative and financial system and improve project management and performance in general.
Commenting on this cooperation, Tamer Gadallah, the Chairperson of Eastern Company, said that the Egyptian state has made great strides in the field of digital transformation during the last period, and most transactions have shifted to digital systems to keep pace with the global development in this field, and therefore all major institutions and companies must move in the same direction in order to be able to keep pace with global changes and benefit from the enormous potential provided by technology in management, pointing out that Eastern Company is one of the largest industrial castles in Egypt, and therefore it must be one of the leading companies in the trend to digitisation, which is what the company sought to achieve through the implementation of this programme.
Hani Aman, the CEO and Managing Director of Eastern Company, said that the company realises the importance of relying on a digital administrative, financial, and organisational system, as it provides accurate follow-up of all operations, saves time and effort, and works to facilitate procedures, and thus increase effectiveness and efficiency in the general operating system.
