Dubai: Dubai SME, the agency of the Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai, on Thursday announced signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Emaar Industries and Investments (EII), an associate of Emaar Properties.

The deal entails cooperation in helping local SMEs be part of innovative projects and foray into overseas market, according to a press release.

The MoU is part of the Dubai SME strategy to strike partnerships and create platforms that facilitate SME access to specialised expertise and investment support required to attain global competencies and grow sustainably, it added.

“Through our collaboration with Dubai SME, we are underlining our commitment to playing a constructive role in maximising the positive impact of international SMEs in Dubai,” Waleed Dhaduk, CEO of Emaar Industries and Investments, commented.
