Doha - The first Angry Birds theme park in the Middle East will open at Doha Festival City's Family Entertainment Complex next year.

Featuring over 35 state-of-the-art attractions with dedicated indoor and outdoor spaces, Angry Birds World will offer visitors the opportunity to play and engage with the Angry Birds characters as they journey through the new theme park.

It will form part of a larger entertainment offering at Doha Festival City's Family Entertainment Complex.

In the run-up to the much-anticipated launch of the theme park, Doha Festival City, in partnership with Talal Bin Mohammed Trading and ADabisc , has hosted a grand screening of the Angry Birds Movie which will be released worldwide today.

The ten winners of a competition launched on their social media platforms under the hashtag #DohaFestivalCity, fans of the blockbuster video game Angry Birds, media and guests attended the 3D screening |at NOVO cinema in The Pearl-Qatar.

Rovio Entertainment's Chief Commercial Officer Alex Lambeek said, "The Rovio team is extremely delighted to support this special screening of the Angry Birds Movie for our valued fans and friends. The movie brilliantly captures the magnitude of fun and excitement that Qatar's Angry Birds World would bring to its visitors upon its launch.

"We are proud to bring one of the world's top-class attractions to the region, for the first time ever in Doha Festival City, through our fruitful partnership with Talal Bin Mohammed Trading and ADabisc." The Family Entertainment Complex is also home to the unique Snow Dunes, Juniverse and Virtuocity theme parks. Snow Dunes will be Qatar's first indoor snow experience.
