Cairo – Mubasher: The consolidated net profits of Credit Agricole Egypt rose by 17.35% year-on-year (YoY) to EGP 1.61 billion in 2021, compared to EGP 1.37 billion.

The bank's net interest income increased by around 2.4% to EGP 2.92 billion in 2021, versus EGP 2.85 billion in 2020, according to a bourse filing on Thursday.

As for the standalone businesses, the bank achieved EGP 1.59 billion net profits last year, up from EGP 1.36 billion in 2020.

The board has recommended a cash dividend distribution amounting to EGP 1.24 billion or EGP 0.99 per share, subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

It is noteworthy to mention that in the first nine months (9M) of 2021, the bank recorded consolidated net profits of EGP 1.179 billion, up by 13.8% year-on-year (YoY) from EGP 1.036 billion.
