The Dubai Outlet Mall has opened its doors to the public from April 26 onwards after conducting a proper sterilisation and disinfection programme. The mall management assured the public that all safety and hygiene measures are in place as per the UAE government guidelines. The mall timings are from 12pm to 9pm.
The mall is implementing a number of measures in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic such as temperature check for all its customers and staff, 24-hour sanitisation of common areas, social distancing policies, signages for visitors, and asking staff to wear masks and gloves.
The mall has also put in place some strict guidelines for visitors, which include restriction of entry to the mall for elderly people above 60 and also for children between 3-12 years; visitors are allowed inside the mall for a maximum of three hours; elevators are to be used by people of determination maintaining social distancing of two metres. A separate isolation area has also been designated in case someone is detected to be sick.
The mall has also placed separate garbage bins and signage boards around the mall for people to dispose of any used mask and gloves.
Speaking to Khaleej Times, director of the mall, Vishal Mahajan, said: "While we acknowledge, respect and appreciate the work done by the front-line workers towards bringing life to normalcy, we at Dubai Outlet Mall are also putting all measures to provide our shoppers a normal routine experience with safety in mind. We understand we have an important role towards the health, safety and well-being of our tenants, staff members and customers/visitors. We are working closely as per the guidelines and advise given by international & local authorities to limit the spread. In these testing times, we wish that everyone stays safe and uses this time in the best positive manner in all aspects. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the mall"
