SOFIA - Bulgaria has picked a consortium comprising asset manager Meridiam and the operator of Munich Airport to run and operate Sofia Airport, the Balkan country's main air transport hub, the transport minister said on Wednesday.
Four other bidders, including a consortium led by France's Aeroports de Paris (ADP) which offered the highest concession fee, competed in the tender for a 35-year concession.
Transport Minister Rosen Zheliazkov said a special commission at the transport ministry had evaluated the bids and that a contract with the winner should be signed within 15 days.
