MANAMA: The government still bears 60 per cent of the total cost of developing infrastructure despite increasing infrastructure fees to BD12 per sqm, Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning Minister Essam Khalaf has said.
In reply to a question from MP Bader Al Dossary, he said the fee includes BD4.500 for power connection, BD2 for water, BD3 for building roads and BD2.500 for sewerage. This covers only 40pc of the cost.
