Under the partnership, Aramex will provide AMP members with special rates on deliveries, as well as flexible payment terms and complimentary Aramex SMART credits, according to a press release on Tuesday.
Regional e-commerce startups will be offered AED 40,000 in premium benefits and subsidies in a bid to reduce operational costs of starting their business during the first year.
These benefits and assistance comprise trade licensing, shipping, logistics, warehousing, and e-commerce website development. This is in addition to digital marketing, payment gateway, and other subsidies.
Aramex noted that the accelerator programme will be offered free of cost with the establishment of an e-commerce company with Virtuzone.
General Manager of Aramex in the UAE, Ahmed Marie, said: “We are excited to work with Virtuzone to launch the AMP programme, to help start-ups and entrepreneurs in getting their businesses off the ground, scaling their operations, and remaining competitive in a dynamic economy.”
CEO of Virtuzone, George Hojeige, commented: “While we make it easier and simpler for aspiring e-commerce entrepreneurs to start their business, Aramex has the exact solutions that will help e-commerce start-ups serve the needs of their target market with proven reliability and efficiency.”
