DUBAI H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, has directed the Digital Government in the Emirate of Ajman to actively participate at GITEX Technology Week 2017.

The Ajman Government Pavilion will showcase the latest technologies and innovative strategies applied by various bodies in the emirate. The pavilion reflects the strategic vision of the Digital Government towards a digital transformation of the entities.

Ohood Ali Abdullah Al Shuhail, Director-General of Ajman Digital Government, explained that 12 government entities are participating in the current edition of GITEX.

"This stellar involvement showcases 78 services and innovations provided by the entities to their clients. The event will also witness the signing of partnership agreements and Memoranda of Understanding between the Ajman Government entities and their counterparts from other institutions as well as within," she added.

Al Shuhail went on to say that partnerships with public and private sectors enhance the services provided to the public using the latest trends in digital and e-governance. "The happiness and ease of the consumers is the focal point of the services and innovations undertaken by all government departments in the Emirate of Ajman. The solutions, therefore, revolve around the provision of affordable services and convenience of the citizens, residents and other clients," she elaborated.

She confirmed that Ajman Digital Government is keen on its outlook towards the future to match pace with the latest international trends in the digital era. She highlighted that the first phase of the digital transition had witnessed the conversion of 42 general services within 100 days in seven government departments in the emirate.

The Digital Government is now working in conjunction with other departments on the second phase of the strategic plan, which seeks to achieve a 100 percent digital transformation of government services at the end of 2018, as well as the digital conversion of joint government services by the end of the same year.
