Kuwaiti logistic firm Agility’s subsidiary has secured the contract to manage the return of thousands of domestic workers to the Gulf state and is looking at an additional revenue of more than $30 million.
The country’s cabinet has recently ruled to allow foreign domestic helpers to fly back to Kuwait starting from tomorrow, December 7.
Thousands of expatriates have been stranded abroad since the state imposed a COVID-19 travel ban on dozens of countries, including Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and the Philippines.
In a bourse filing to the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) on Sunday, Agility said the National Aviation Services (NAS) will provide all the logistical and technical services to the returnees starting from the registration process until the completion of the required quarantine.
The company is expecting to generate a revenue of 10 million Kuwaiti dinars ($32.87 million) from the four-month deal.
