Abu Dhabi Airports has awarded the contract for construction and management of Midfield Terminal’s lounge to a joint venture between Airport Dimensions and National Aviation Services (NAS).

The new lounge spans over 3,500 square meters and will offer access to travelers departing or transiting through Abu Dhabi International Airport, regardless of the airline or the class of their tickets.

It is the first project in the MENA region for Airport Dimensions, which manages lounges at some of the world’s busiest airports.  NAS, already operates 40 lounges across Africa, Middle East and Asia.

“NAS’ operations within the Middle East mean that its regional knowledge will be invaluable in bringing this project to completion, whilst Airport Dimensions’ extensive expertise in airport lounge design and management will help to create a lounge that leaves passengers refreshed,” said Bryan Thompson, Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports in a statement.
