Muscat: More than 650 loans with a total value of approximately OMR 29.2 million have been approved by Oman Housing Bank by the end of May 2021.

"Oman Housing Bank approved by the end of May 2021, 673 loans with a total value of approximately OMR 29.2 million," the Oman News Agency (ONA), said in a statement.

Adnan bin Haider bin Darwish, CEO of Oman Housing Bank, confirms, in a statement to the Oman News Agency, that continued efforts to speed up the pace of approvals for subsidised housing loans are in process along with work to strengthen efforts in the coming months to accelerate further, the bank is committed in performing its leading role in the development of the housing sector.

The CEO also mentioned that the bank has received, during the first five months of this year, nearly 2,200 new loan applications, with a total value of more than OMR 104 million.
