In A Spectacular Celebration with Orange Officials

· The company launches unprecedented services to customers to ensure the comfort and well-being.

Orange, one of the world's leading telecommunications operators, announced the opening of its first "Orange Smart Store" in Egypt in a spectacular celebration which took place at the Nile City Towers, Orange Egypt's headquarter premises, selected to be the location of the first smart store. The opening of the new smart store was attended by Stéphane Richard, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Orange and Yves Gauthier, Chief Executive Officer of Orange Egypt, as well as other Orange Group and Orange Egypt officials. Egypt is the seventh country to launch Orange's smart store concept after Romania, Poland, France, Moldova, Jordan and Tunisia.

"We are extremely happy to inaugurate the first 'Orange Smart Store' in Egypt," stated Stéphane Richard, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Orange. "As part of our Essentials 2020 strategy, Orange is keen on establishing a unique experience for its customers to best meet their needs by re-inventing the customer relationship. Egypt is our largest market in the MEA region, and it was therefore logical for us to open our next Smart Store here - our seventh market to do so."

On his part Marc Rennard, Orange Egypt Chairman and  Senior Executive Vice President, Customer Experience and Mobile Banking said "Africa in general and Egypt in particular is a highly innovative market that has also enabled Orange to develop some unusual and interesting services and Orange is enjoying particularly strong growth in such market. "Key focus areas for the future include the further development of B2B services, an area for improvement and services such as mobile broadband, and mobile payments through Orange Money ". He added.

The new Orange shop offers a new and unique digital experience by combining the latest innovations with best-in-class service from sales representatives who were highly trained to fulfil any customers' needs. After being welcomed by Orange experts, customers are guided to the solutions they want to explore by various screens, tactile surfaces and creative signage located all over the store. Each area has its own identity, consistent with the uses it proposes. The retail area also gathers all the historical services of the shop, arranged in an open manner to customers. The shop is designed with no predetermined path so that the customer feels he is the master of his visit.

The new Orange shop diffuses a friendly atmosphere owing to the choice of decoration, planning and furniture design with soft shapes. The cozy atmosphere resulting from the use of simple shapes, colors, graphic patterns, rugs, and furniture emphasizes on this atmosphere. The furniture enriches the shop in a variety of friendly spaces: tables, shelves, chairs, armchairs and sofas. The Orange brand strengthens the spirit of welcome and invites visitors to explore and exchange. 

Interactivity is indeed at the heart of this new store: in the handling of products, in the many touch screens and surfaces present in different areas. With Several dozen devices for customers to try, everything becomes an excuse to play and discover. The new shop is full of useful and fun innovation and top of the line gadgets, smart watches and connected objects, along with a wide selection of colorful and practical accessories. Thanks to the phone and tariffs advisor, our customers are helped in comparing and selecting the right handset and the tariffs plan that suit their needs.

The Fast Track area (Payment Zone):

Orange dedicated special areas to the payment of bills, recharge and Orange Money service through one-step collection machine in each store, as well as trained personnel to save time for clients.

The Tech Zone:

Introducing a whole new digital experience where customers can try a wide variety of the latest handsets, tablets and devices. Customers can browse, compare and find the best device and internet packages that suit their needs Through "Try me Table & Traffic Advisor" service.

The Home Zone:

It is a space where the future meets the present. It represents an array of products and services that are designed to make your life at home easier, more secure, and more enjoyable. The zone offers Wi-Fi gadgets and extenders, ADSL routers and backup batteries (mini UPS), which allow customers to enjoy fast internet across all corners of their house, even when the electricity is out. Customers can find the Triple Play service which combines OSN and beIN Sports channels with internet and phone services within one package (exclusive to compounds).

The Fun Zone:

In the Fun zone, customers can discover all music content, games and football news offered by Orange thanks to exclusive partnerships.  They can also find a large range of accessories such as trendy headphones.

The Care Corner:

The Care corner with our Orange Experts is dedicated to provide all the support customers need:

§  Device in-store repair or in our repair center

§  Initial setup (e.g. Handset configuration, discover how to insert SIM, account creation, applications installations, connection to Bluetooth devices, etc...)

§  Transfer customers' contacts from their old to their new phone using Orange Mobile Data Transfer Service.

The Business Corner:

Orange is introducing a dedicated business corner to service its SME and SOHO customers. Here, business customers receive an expert consultancy service adapted to their needs. Not only walk-in customers are served, as all services can also be delivered at the convenience of the business customers' in the proximity of the shop.

The VIP Lounge:

Orange first class customers will feel extra special as they will be guided to a dedicated corner and enjoy a special treatment through the well trained customer agent representative.
