DUBAI (Zawya Dow Jones)--The Abraaj Group, a Dubai-based private equity firm, has invested in a producer of educational toys and games based in East Jerusalem, it said Sunday.
Abraaj invested in Anoud Games, a company founded in 1996, through its Palestine Growth Capital Fund, it said in an emailed statement. The Palestine Investment Fund is investing alongside Abraaj as part of its efforts to finance the growth of small businesses, the statement said.
The companies did not disclose the size of the investment. Following the deal, Abraaj said it would help Anoud expand its range of products and geographical footprint, "allowing it to export its products regionally to serve the wider Arabic speaking audience."
