· Ericsson announces the appointment of Ali Eid as Head of Customer Unit for KSA, Jordan, and Palestine

· Eid's appointment is effective July 1st 2016

Ericsson announced the appointment of Ali Eid as Head of Customer Unit for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Jordan, and Palestine within Ericsson Region Middle East and East Africa. His current position as Head of Customer Unit for Ericsson KSA will now encompass the same responsibilities in Jordan and Palestine.

Eid began his career with Ericsson KSA in 1988 and spent 12 years there before accepting a position as a Key Account Manager of Jawwal at Ericsson in 2000. In 2008, he promoted to CU Head to overlook the business for the Paltel Group and Wataniya, part of the Qtel Global Customer Account. Since April 1st 2010, Eid has been the Head of Ericsson, KSA .

Prior to joining Ericsson, Eid worked for Thomson CSF Telephony & Alcatel in Jordan and then joined the Electromechanical Group. He holds a Bachelor degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Jordan.

Commenting on the announcement, Rafiah Ibrahim, Head of Ericsson Region Middle East and Africa says: "Today's appointments of the new leaders will enable us to continue adding value to our customers and drive their transformation agenda."

Eid added, "I am eager to expand successful strategies that I've implemented in Saudi Arabia to Jordan and Palestine and to improve upon them in the days to come. KSA as a leading mobile communication market is normally influencing the evolution in many countries in the Middle East. Having Jordan and Palestine in the same Customer Unit will extend this influence to these markets. In line with Ericsson's strides towards evolution into the Networked Society, I look forward to stimulating growth and fostering innovation wherever I can."
