Two-day conference will highlight informative and thought-provoking sessions to help raise the country's food safety standards to an international level

Muscat - Oman prides itself on being one of the countries with the most stringent food safety laws in the world. In pursuit of elevating the country's food safety culture and improving the knowledge base of individuals about the importance of food safety standards, Omanexpo, organizer of this year's Food Safety Conference, will bring in renowned food experts to discuss the latest food safety practices and up-to-date information on how the latest food solutions have positively impacted Oman's food industry.

Themed "Evaluating and Improving Food Safety Environment and Developing Oman's Food Safety for the Future", the Oman Food Safety Conference will be held from 21 to 22 September 2016 alongside the long-running Food and Hospitality exhibition at the Oman International Exhibition Center.

The two-day food safety conference boasts of a dynamic lineup of sessions and speakers who will shed light on the most pressing topics facing the food industry; how to maximize food safety compliance that will lead to improved performance; food poisoning and food recalling systems; best practices from industry experts; and utilizing enhanced technologies and solutions to ensure the safety of food supply in the country, among others.

Ammar Ahmad, project manager, said "With industry experts sharing their knowledge and expertise on food safety practices, attendees will have the best opportunity to understand what is changing and what needs to be changed in their food safety programs to help curb food safety challenges.
