Sharjah: Sharjah Police announced new amendments and a reduction of fees in the transactions involving export and transfer of vehicles in the emirate.

This decision came into effect this week.

The move is in line with the resolution No.32 issued by Sharjah Executive Council for the year 2016.

Colonel Rashid Salem Al Bass, Director of Vehicles and Drivers’ Licensing Department at Sharjah Police, said the decision was taken under the guidance of Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, with the aim of reducing local fees, providing better services to citizens and residents, and promoting commercial activities within the emirate of Sharjah.

Revised fee structure

Transfer transactions

Transfer of vehicles inside UAE without plate number (same owner): Dh30

Transfer of vehicle inside UAE with plate number (same owner): Dh150

Transfer of vehicle inside UAE without plate number (different owner): Dh80

Transfer of vehicle inside UAE with plate number (different owner): Dh200

Export transactions

Export vehicle outside UAE without plate number (same owner): Dh130

Export vehicle outside UAE with plate number (same owner): Dh250

Export vehicle outside UAE without plate number (another owner): Dh180

Export vehicles outside UAE with plate number (another owner): Dh300
