JEDDAH: The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has launched a new website in the Kingdom which aims to help expatriates who are losing or leaving their jobs.

The website, www.kawadir.com.sa, features information on skilled expatriate workers who are experiencing difficult working conditions and are therefore seeking opportunities with other employers in the Kingdom.

It will also serve as a recruitment guide for employers who are looking for employees.

According to the ministry's spokesperson, Khaled Aba Al-Khail, the site basically aims to reduce the number of new work visas. The website is for those whose residence or work permits have expired as well as those who have not obtained residence permits three months after entering the Kingdom.

"The service will be available just for companies in green zone and above which in turn will help companies in lower zones to get a higher status by laying off their expatriate employees," said Aba Al-Khail.

Employers can visit the website in order to evaluate resumes of potential candidates who know that their data is on the site.
