KUWAIT: ACICO Construction has launched its new smart parking system to help resolve a space crunch in many areas of Kuwait. This is a new product by ACICO. We want to help manage the distressing parking problems in Kuwait. Many areas badly needed this system from ministries to private companies, Ahmed Al-Khaled, Chief Operation Officer, said at an event at the Palms Hotel in Salwa.
Khaled announced that Kuwait is about to experience the most innovative and advanced parking system that will be installed all across Kuwait. We are currently constructing an automated parking building. Imagine a 900-square-meter space can actually accommodate as many as 420 cars, he said. ACICO is committed to implement the smart parking system as per Kuwaits requirements. We can build automatic parking even for two, five, 10 or as many as 1,000-plus cars. We can customize it depending on our customers requirements, he added.
ACICO has partnered with an Italian company specialized in the smart parking system. The Italian company will supply all mechanical components and technical support to ACICO. The agreement is to build more of these types of parking areas in the GCC and not only in Kuwait. We are ready to work with the government and private companies. The project will be handled by ACICO from the day it is installed until it becomes operational. So no worries about the design and technicalities, Khaled assured.
